What is Coaching?
Coaching is a structured, supportive conversation designed to help you think clearly, gain perspective, and move forward.
It’s not about giving you advice or telling you what to do. Instead, coaching helps you explore your challenges, question unhelpful patterns, and access your own clarity and capability.
What can I be coached on?
Coaching can support you through a wide range of areas including:
-
Building confidence and self-belief
-
Navigating career change or transition
-
Stepping into leadership or greater responsibility
-
Managing self-doubt or overthinking
-
Clarifying goals and direction
-
Developing assertiveness and decision-making
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. Often, coaching helps you define what matters most.
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching focuses on your present and future. It helps you move forward, develop clarity, and create meaningful change. Therapy is a different disipline which often focuses on exploring and healing past experiences.
Coaching is suitable for individuals want support to grow, navigate change, or reach their potential.
If coaching isn’t the right support for you, I will always be honest about that.
What happens in a coaching session?
Each session is a focused, confidential conversation tailored to you. We’ll explore what’s on your mind, what’s holding you back, and what you want to move towards. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer perspective where helpful, and support you in developing clarity and direction.
There’s no pressure to perform or have the “right” answers. Coaching is a space to think openly and honestly.
Is Coaching Confidential?
Yes. Coaching sessions are completely confidential.
This creates a safe space where you can speak openly, explore challenges honestly, and think without judgement.
Why I Coach… about me and my philosophy!
I coach because I’ve lived it…. I’m a recovering “good girl”, people pleaser and over achiever who spent years wrestling my imposter feelings and cripling self doubt. Ultimately, it was a one way ticket to burnout where I became completely overwhelmed, exhausted and unable to figure out a path forwards. Coaching was the safest next step I could make and thus started a long journey of understanding, self compassion and unbecoming.
I started to recognise habits and behaviours, that I thought were my armour to protect me from being found out, were actually self-imposed barriers to achieving what I really wanted. I learned to drop unhelpful labels, I released myself from the weight of expectations, I shed self limiting beliefs and slowly worked on building a fulfilling life.
Coaching was the catalyst I needed to start a shift that ultimately changed the trajectory of my life. Years later I found myself enrolling for my MSc in Psychology while simultaneously completing my Diploma in Executive and Business Coaching.
Coaching is a confidential and safe space where you can talk freely to explore your thoughts without fear of judgement. It is a partnership, centered around you, your needs and your development and recognises you as the expert in your own life.
I believe great big fires come from the tiniest sparks and feel privileged to walk alongside others on their journey.
